Cyclades
They say the Cyclades are one of the most beautiful islands in the world. We confirm it. They are located in the Aegean Sea, south-east of the Greek mainland and form a circle around the sacred island of Delos (their name comes from "circular islands”).
Beautiful sandy beaches, cozy old white houses, wild hilly places, lonely chapels, hospitable people and great traditional cuisine – we sincerely recommend them!
A little bit about some of the islands…
Mykonos – there is definitely a reason why Mykonos is present in almost all of the cruise routes. It is perhaps one of the most popular islands of the Cyclades, known for its beautiful beaches, architecture, windmills and nightlife.
Ios Island is also known for its night life, but in the east it is absolutely different - spacious beaches and beautiful scenery.
Folegandros is a relatively small island. Most beaches are accessible only by boat or by hiking, therefor it is not so crowded and you can find complete peace.
Syros island - the capital of Syros - Ermoupolis is a beautiful city with many Orthodox and Catholic churches, small streets and great sea views. Here is situated the famous Casino Syros.
Kythnos - probably will will repeat ourselves - wonderful beaches and crystal water. Definitely worth seeing.
Associated with one of the most powerful volcanic eruptions - Santorini (also called Santorin, or Thira), today has become a byword for exotic romance. We will not be able to tell you everything about Santorini here, because we want to tell a lot, so we better show it to you on the spot J We know that you know it's worth it.
